In small saucepan dissolve sugar into vinegar on low to medium heat. Do not bring to a boil.
Dice or slice cucumbers and add to sugar water. Pour into a jar and refrigerate. When in a hurry, I place in freezer for 15 minutes, stir, then 15 more minutes, stir and 15 more minutes.
